FG PAYS ASUU LECTURERS FIVE MONTHS SALARY ARREARS.

Is this a kind gesture? Why did the Federal
Government and ASUU have to drag the strike for
so long, creating a vacuum in the academics of
the Students? Why venture into stopping the
lecturers salary and be obstinate over resolving
the strike if at the end you were going to pay
them back and sign the agreement? Now the
students will suffer because they will be rushed
academically, so they can meet up with the
planned academic calendar, they will be
bombarded with several academic activities, and
this lecturers may not care whether the students
understand what they are teaching because they
want to complete their curriculum. This then
affects the students who have so much to digest
with so little time, and when they eventually
graduate, they begin to have issues getting jobs,
either because they may be termed half-baked,
and so can't be employed or when they eventually
get employed, they start giving back to the
system and economy what they got while in
school. And so the cycle continues and who then
suffers? everyone who is connected to Nigeria.
What are your reactions to this action?
